Each member of our team shares a passion for the field. We all have a healthy belief in the paranormal tempered with a healthy skepticism.
Spencer, Co-founder, Director of Operations
Spencer brings fifteen plus years of photographic experience -both behind the camera and in the darkroom- and a background in RF electronics to ECRIP. An interest in electronics and electronic gadgets along with a desire to learn how things work led to many things being taken apart when he was a child. RF electronics training in the USMC gave him a strong attention to detail and a 'work smarter not harder' resourcefulness. Knowledge of audio/video systems, electronics and basic home maintenance gives him the tools to be grounded while open-minded. He has always had a fascination with the paranormal along with a fascination for science and technology. Although raised in the Northern VA area, he has also lived in Southern California and Central Illinois and currently lives in Burke, VA with his wife.

Kerri, Co-founder, Director of Communications
Originally from Anne Arundel County, Kerri currently resides in Rockville, Maryland. She has had an extensive interest in the paranormal and is enthusiastic about contributing to this growing research field. For more than eight years, Kerri's professional focus has been in computer configurations and program management with Hewlett-Packard, where her responsibilities include extensive research and often serving as a team lead. Kerri has recently received a B.A. in psychology from UMBC at Shady Grove, and is interning with the Montgomery County Police Department, assisting with officer training that focuses primarily on educating them about mental illness and the community. When she is not working or studying, she enjoys traveling and is an avid sports fan.

Kim, Co-founder, Technical Director
Kim is a communications and design specialist in the DC metro area, and brings to ECRIP an extensive background in photography, film, and audio production. Her expertise in identifying aberrations in film negatives and photo print development, and her more recent research in identifying manipulations of digital media, are the result of fourteen years' experience with both traditional film photography and digital media design. In her spare time, Kim is an avid soccer fan and arts fiend. She can usually be found either playing or officiating for a local recreational soccer league, rabidly supporting DC United and Chelsea FC, or taking in a local arts or music festival downtown.

Dawn, Public Relations
Dawn comes to ECRIP with an innate curiosity for how and why things work. She brings to the team a background in religious studies, a current position in behavior health, and dreams of becoming an electrophysiologist. Dawn's interest in unconventional themed subject matter began at a very young age with a fixation on the concept of nothingness. In her free time you will find her doing research into religion, mysticism, physics, psychology and most specifically where all those subjects intersect. After settling in the District in 2003, she has become an active member of her community.

Carolyn, Historian/Researcher
Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Carolyn credits her home city for nurturing a love of history and American folk lore, including urban legends and ghost stories. After relocating to her father's native Virginia, she began exploring her family's past and was bitten hard by the genealogy bug. Carolyn brings to ECRIP twenty years of experience researching court documents such as deeds and wills; census, military, and vital records; and helping to piece together family histories for others. She is a genealogy volunteer with the local library and several online communities, specializing in Prince William County and the DC-Metro area. Carolyn is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and an advocate of historic restoration and preservation.

Sandy, Historian/Researcher
A love of history and a curiosity about the paranormal led Sandy to ECRIP. A native of Paris, VA, Sandy grew up playing in streets once frequented by Col. John S. Mosby, Stonewall Jackson, the Marquis de Lafayette and George Washington. With history comes legends and lore and Sandy became fascinated by it all. Married and now in Manassas where she has raised three children, Sandy began researching her family history 18 years ago. She finds herself comfortable in libraries, record rooms and archives and considers a good day one where she emerges covered in 50 year old dust with a 200 year old document. When not brushing archive dust from her hair, you may find Sandy singing choral music, enjoying community theater or exploring the ancient art of dowsing.

Chris, Tech Specialist
With a varied background in most things technical and audiovisual, and professional experience in network and digital photography support, multimedia development, and photojournalism, Chris brings to ECRIP a wide range of skills. Chris's educational background is in multimedia arts and foreign language. He became interested in paranormal research for a more interesting and challenging application of his technical skills. In his spare time, Chris collects old vinyl records. He lives in Prince William County, VA with his wife and 2 kids.
Robert, Provisional Member, Case Management
A Michigan native, Robert recently moved to the D.C. area. He has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and has lived in many parts of the U.S. He has been involved in the paranormal field for the past several years as an investigator and co-founder of a research group. Robert’s approach is pragmatic, striking a healthy balance between skepticism and belief. His passion for the field stems from a personal drive to seek the truth, coupled with a desire to help others who may need assistance with nowhere else to turn.
Robert resides in Washington, D.C. He travels as much as he can, and enjoys all types of music and theatre. He also enjoys outdoor activities, especially those shared with Lacy, his Australian Sheppard.
